THE PROGRAM
Math Ninja is
educational fun math game. I wrote it as a math drill exercise for my eight
years old son, to help him with math. Seeing noticeable improvement of his
math skills within few days after playing this game (and not being apparently
bored) I decided to make it available to wider audience. If you elect to
give it a try I would certainly appreciate your feedback.
FEATURES
Objective of the
game is to answer correctly all given excercises, as fast as possible. The
game has 8 levels of difficulty, and knowing the age of the student, program
can select appropriate level automatically. Math Ninja provides exercises for
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division (also for negative numbers).
Correct answers and response time are scored appropriately. The key advantage
of Math Ninja is that student can play unattended. Whenever game is played
results from all exercises are written to a log file. Log file can be used
then at any time to check the progress, spot the difficulties, and have
detailed report from student's activity. You can find log file in Math Ninja's
program folder under name "ma.log" (no quote marks). It is plain text file,
and can be open with Notepad. Difficulty level, name and age of the student
can be set in the Setup Window. Some Screenshots:
